Jalan Kaki (English pronunciation: /d??l?n K?k?/) is an Indonesian phrase, meaning “walking by foot”. We chose this name for this site because we think traveling is not perfect without walking and exploring the destination by foot. Walking by foot will get you more of travel experiences, such as blending with locals and experience new places in human scale.
Jalan Kaki is a collaborative blog which written by traveler for traveler. The founder of JalanKaki.com is a group of avid travelers who would like to share their travel experiences in exploring the world.
With this travel blog, we also want to introduce you to a country which have so many hidden treasures and off beaten paths, Indonesia. If you are an adventurous travelers who want to see many cultures and travel experiences without breaking the bank, then Indonesia is a must visit country which worth to put on your destination list.
Why Indonesia?
Indonesia, a country in Southeast Asia, comprises almost twenty thousand islands with a population around 230 million people. 1 Across its many islands, Indonesia consists of distinct ethnic, linguistic, and religious groups. With so many diversity in Indonesia, you can bet that Indonesia is an adventurous, exciting, and exotic travel destination.
We are Different
Eventhough there are already so many travel blog which also share Indonesia’s travel information, but unfortunately most of them are written in Bahasa. Here we provide those information with English, therefore international travelers can also get a glimpse about the rich nature and diverse cultures in Indonesia (including Bali! …of course.)
But please note that although this travel blog is focused on sharing information about Indonesia’s travel destinations, but it also does not cover the possibility to share general travel tips and information.
